Where are the quests?

In the beginning I started a solo game, and after finishing the questline with the doctor, that Darwin (?) guy and the castellan, I somehow got a quest about a man who thought the end of the world was coming. I stopped this game and began a new coop game with my husband. We also finished the first questline, but the guy next to the board never showed up. We also don't get any other interesting quests, except for those on the board and somone who wanted me to bring a high number of beetroot. Something must be wrong here. We are playing the latest version. Any ideas?

So far I have noticed that there only seems to be a handful of quests you can grab, 1-2 at each village and the few on the quest board..

I can only assume even tho i am in summer still just like in the story map, You will get more quests when a new season starts on the Oxbow map..

Also don't forget, This map was with coop was just released, So I would take a guess that more quests are planed and will be added into the Oxbow map at a later date..

I am currently in Summer on the Oxbow map and I have to wait for the next season to see what happens now after I placed 30 Roach fish into a Basket for a quest..

Beyond waiting for that, I myself cant see any other quests and I gather there will be more when the next season starts

Each viallage starts out with 1 quest as you complete it more will show up. I been doing the quests in 3 of the villages and as I complete one then 1-2 more will show up immediately or the next season.

We are in winter of year 2 and no other quest showed up after the initial questline.

Game is far from polished. Quite shocking really.

It is actually not shocking. I wrote this post because I'm watching a letsplay and that guy gets one questline after the next out of the blue during his first year. I also read this forum and people write about a lot of quests I never heard of. I think our game might be bugged.

I haven't delved into the main quest did more sandbox-village building but since you mentioned the guy next to the board, I had him in all 3 starts (1 short test, 1 solo, 1 co-op) I did so far.

That sounds quite peculiar. Could you send your co-op savegame with the lack of quests so I can have the devs take a look?

I started a new solo game in Oxbow. Did the initial quest with the doctor, Derwan and the castellan. Now it's summer year 1, and that end of the world guy again didn't show up. Shouldn't he be next to the board?

I am in year 4 now, and for the past year not a single quest have popped up. I finished the one with Derwan and his errrand boy. The election quest in Ostaya, the quest in Klonica with Jaropelk and his mother. All that i have left is look for ways to make Oxbow a better place. Which has been there since spring year 2. No clue what to do for it

I think you have to go to all the villages and do all their quests as you go along. Hard telling what sets up new stuff. Also ck that when you go to the journal that you might not have a quest that is not tagged. I don't like that quests are hidden unless you go to the journal - except for one main quest. Why can't they all show up upper right. Would be really helpful.

Quests all random and working every year for me just fine. Look at your map. Also im keeping all the bandits culled on the way down to that south east town australia full of convicts. Thats the keep a eye on oxbrow each year i believe.

Seems to me.. and I'm probably wrong.. but
The quests from NPC's in villages and main town are 'Story quests'
The quests from the Noticeboard are 'Side quests'

It 'looks like' if there are no story quests you need to do a few Side quests to make them pop up..

Yes, I started to realize that those fetch quests in the valley were found by finding NPCs with a yellow exclamation mark, whereas in Oxbow those quests are on the board. The quest people with yellow exclamation marks in the other villages give you really interesting tasks.

I was somehow under the impression that this guy standing next to the board was giving a quest that would unfold a whole story quest in the game, and I was frustrated because he only showed up in my first attempt but not in the two next games.
