2. I survived the first summer with the starting clothes and one straw sun hat?
Made money from Copper Sickle as soon as I got smith 1 by mining and picking up items.
Bought winter clothes:-
Bag hat - Fur boots - Long Fur hood - Thick leather Gloves
Normal:-
Quilted vest - Boots
In winter I put on winter clothes. All other times the normal clothes..
I never get the message 'To hot' and 'I'm freezing'
Try saving and reloading, sometimes your temperature tolerance doesn't update properly when you put new clothes on.
- Heat sources in buildings and caves did not affect the player
- Weather and temperature replication
- The coldest day of spring is less demanding
- All clothes provide better protection against the cold
In 2.0.0.2 they already added:
- The hottest spring day has a cooler night and morning
- The worse winter variants for the first year are warmer.
And in 2.0.0.1 it was:
- In the first three years, only fine weather should prevail. More demanding and dangerous weather conditions begin occurring from year three in the game.
Ofc the actual bugs (like campfires not warming etc) need to be fixed, but I really really hope they won't make the temperature trivial again because of people complaining.
I mean it's summer, it's going to be hot, but having my character go on and on about how hot he is, with nothing for me to do to fix it, does get rather annoying, not to mention I can just stand there and watch his thirst shrink in rapid speed.
There has to be something to help with that, instead of just forcing me into a corner and use up my skill points. If wearing clothes actually helps you get cooler, then there should be some clothes that do a better job, instead of forcing me, as I said, to use up skill points. Just my opinion.
Though I guess I got my answer, it appears they are indeed still working out the kinks, so to speak.
You're not forced to use skill points at all, you can just drink more often. If there was no benefit to the skill then it would be horrible design.
The condition improves if you are wading in deep water, inside a building or take a Potion of Temperature. The potion fixed me right up and so far I haven't had another hot day.
