neighbours have their differences

The quest "neighbours have their differences" is driving me crazy, I am sure I got it all right and tried the not so obvious answers like "he has a shelf under his window and he has 1 less shelf" which are both right with no success.
Am I missing something?

I've been trying to do this in winter, lol. Looking at the hanging decorations for the flowers.

You won't be able to do this in winter without just guessing right over and over or looking for the answer. The flowers don't bloom/appear in winter.

exactly! One candle is half a length lower than the supporting v-beam and the other one is a full candle length lower than it's v-beam above.

God I hated this quest. I even cheated and took screenshots of both houses to look at, and I could not see any difference in the damn plants whatsoever! What is wrong with the people making this game?
edit: Oh the plant in the vase??? In my game I didn't even realize plants were there because they aren't bloomed in autumn. No, these kinds of quests are not for me. No more of this bs.

That's actually a really good point. I guess I got lucky I did the quest in Summer. :s

bonjour, j'ai vu qu'ils ont tous les deux le meme au dessus du lit mais il n'y a pas de réponse pour ca dans les 4 proposées donc impossible de finir je pense, peut etre une erreur du jeu?

We did it in coop which was easier, one person in each house and then talking to each other what we saw and writing it down. The plants were indeed hard to figure out while not in bloom, however dandelion has very unique leaves so I recognized those, and then the other one must have had daisies.

I would prefer if flowers in pots and vases would not wither. Especially not vases which are in houses.

Thanks for this thread. Spent far too long on this. Answer for Candles is incorrect. Wojciech's definately is higher but the correct answer for the quest is that they are the same.
