Since we can't demolish them because that's not coded into the game, I just view them as decoration. I have a couple near my main village that kind of appear like older buildings from my settlement that fell in disrepair, were abandoned, and money was never available to demolish/replace. Much like in real life. In other cases, I view them as reminders that life in the Oxbow saw some really rough times during an attack. Whether that attack was external or internal (Mirogod has a dark reputation) is unknown for now. Regardless, I just view them as part of the unfolding story.
Okej ish if you could destroy them, or build around them. But rather not have them.
Looking at Nexus.... There is mods for the game. Mod's will happen regardless if the devs support it or not. Always been like that....
It's not just savegames. Point being though, players been modding games since well, games was a thing just about, regardless if the devs did suport it or not -)
As for updates breaking mods, that is nothing new either. You have people crying all over steam daily across games for that.
It is different from just your mods being broken by a new update. Since you start from someone else's messed with save, that save will most likely be ruined beyond repair in the long run. Not fun if you want to start a playthrough that spans many generations where you spend many irl hours on.
Everyone that use mods, hacks, trainers etc that modify their game should be well aware the risk they do when doing so though.
I'm quite certain I'm not the only 1 whom modded stuff outside the saves.
This happens in every game, most well known are the "Hacks&Trainers".
I have to admit I (almost) never upload any of my mods anywhere, saves me the time and effort of having to maintain stuff when games update but that's cause I'm a selfish bastard.
