I need advice for co-op (problem or bug)

My friend and I have launched the "co-op" mode and I'm the host. But my friend can't live in any house and when he dies he reappears in the starting village. How does he get his own house?

He needs to build his own house by placing it himself. Then you can help him build it and then he will spawn there.

After you build your friend his own (EMPTY!) house, he can interact with the sign next to the door to assign it to himself:

i'm the co-op player in my wife's game and i built the house and it didnt help.
I cant assign myself to the house and my wife cant assign me to it.
its really annoying to spwan in the city every time.
this seems like a bug and i hope ti gets fixed soon

What do you see when you interact with the sign next to the door like in my screenshot?

Is it gonna be so you need to interact with sign everytime you go play co-op as guest?
So game doesnt remember who owns which house at next time you play together? Cause for now it seems to be the case.

That shouldn't be. But you'll need to make sure the host saves the game BEFORE you log out.

I crafted a house and my mate died and spawned in my house but when i died i spawn far away. i cannot assign myself to my own house

You each need a separate house. It doesn't matter who builds it. The host gets automatically assigned to the first house built, and the co-op players have to assign themselves to another empty house.

hey, small problem here, i assign the house to myself when i play with my friends. but every time i log in again it's occupied by a "no name" and we can't remove that "no name" at the same time i can't assign myself to that house again and respawn somewhere completely different. Any tips to fix that?

I have similar problem. We are 3 players, 2 of us has houses assigned. The third "had" a house assign. Later he did not have a house assigned anymore. The next day someone called "Name" was assigned to that house. We build a new house for our friend and assigned it to him. Now someone called "Name" own two houses and no one else can move in there. We removed a wall from the house and rebuild the wall. Now it is empty but one of us see the house as 0% build but for another player it is 100%, but now it is free to assign to someone again. There is something wrong with coop and houses

The "Name" thing is a known issue yes, and the devs are aware. I hope it'll get fixed soon.

My husband is having the same problem. He has his own house next to mine, he can assign it to himself, i do a save game, but sooner or later the game will scramble his house management tab with a "no name" mood -99 etc entry that is unremovable, and he will spawn in a random village (not his house) after death AND season change. Very annoying.
