What to do with all the stone?
I've been doing a lot of mining this go-around, selling copper knives as I build towards accessing bronze.

But, what to do with all the stone? I've already stored away more than what I would probably ever use in building. I could just drop it on the ground in the mine, but it doesn't disappear so would just pile up.

What do others do with the stone?

Mostly for building nice walls about your village. Nice walls around houses and gardens etc. can get through a lot of stone.

If you truly wish to delete it, place it in any randomly-spawned seasonal container, such as those at bandit camps.

EDIT: You could also just sell it.

I've so far never run out of need for stone. As soon as the Mine is unlocked, I stop mining by hand, though, so I haven't quite been in your shoes yet.

Well on my sons estate his home i built stone walk way from the gate to front door. Using very short fence both sides then filling it with stone. Did the same with tree's getting rid ugly dirt spots. Then made stone BBQ pit for all his buddy's with stone walls broads on top covered in stone.
I new that be my house one day lol my father would not need to move from his estate and his place would be my son's place. So life go's on.

As soon as you have unlocked market stalls its pretty easy to sell em off without much problem. Since market stalls sale-limit works by price and stones are pretty cheap a market stall can get rid of a big amount of stones in very little time.

I guess it depends on how you want to play. In current game i kept all the stone that i mine and let the Smith make stone and wood tools for the workers until had lvl 3 smith. Then had my workers use Iron tools.
In an earlier game i would have my workers use cobber tools at lvl 1 smith. Bronze at lvl 2 and iron at lvl 3. in current game played real slow in recruitment so built stone houses for everyone. In an earlier game rushed with the recruitment so houses was wood.

In true hoarder spirit, I dump all mine in front of my resource storage chest in a big pile. I'm sure it'll come in handy one day - or at least that's what I tell myself of all the junk I keep.

Try to verify the game files to make sure nothing is corrupt: right click Medieval Dynasty in the list of games in your Steam library, pick 'installed files' and then 'verify integrity of game files'. Because no door in the food storage does sound like a weird visual glitch.

Interesting ideas ... I forgot about building stone walls and the pathway sounds like an interesting idea.

Thanks all

Oh, I can so identify with hoarding (thankfully in game only and not IRL).

I have mine piled up against the half wall on the other side of the resource building - on the opposite side from where many of us pile the logs. I have my various bars in crates. I also have a couple of large wicker baskets - one with stone and another with limestone. I have planks over by the wall to the left of the resource building's chest. I kind of got lazy and just dropped a pile of a few thousand planks at once. Of course, since we can only "grab" single items, I had to do the drop the plank collection a few times before I was okay with how it landed.

I've got a single clump of a few thousand copper ores sitting on one of my chests because I needed to make space in a hurry. It just occurred to me that I could use wicker baskets for ores. Don't know why I didn't think of that before. Well now, time to spin up the game.

Yes, that's my plan for the next village; i'm gonna use them as decoration and make nice visual piles and heaps with them; store them in baskets etc. We'll see how that goes!

I tend to drop things in piles rather than singles. I sort of like the randomness if a stack of planks isn't just right, the odd off place ones look sort of ok to me. Ores/stones drop into wicker crate things. Round the back I have piles of manure and fertiliser. Then if I see some guy chatting up my wife, I follow him home then put piles of manure outside his window.

I had stone piling up, sticks piling up, and feathers (from hunting lodge) piling up. Now I have 10k Stone arrows, and each time my hunters have a quest to give them stone arrows, I just take some from the pile on the workbench.
