How to start Oxbow map?

Hi, I wanted to play single player Oxbow map. How can I do that? I play version 1.5.2.2. Thanks.

Wait until they release the co-op update, which is still in closed beta. Release date: unknown.

Once it has been released (somewhere later this year normally), when you start a new game, you'll be given the choice for either the current map (the Valley) or the new map (the Oxbow).

It simply isn't available yet in the version 1.5.2.2. I think there will be likely a game version bump with release of that update to 1.6.x.x.

The updates you've seen in the news section and the like aren't "updates that are in the game now". They're "finished additions to the upcoming co-op update". As in, they're working on 4 things for the co-op update. 3 of them have been "finished" now, and there's one more they need to "finish" before releasing the update.

well thats really misleading....i thought it was released so we could play the new map :(

agreed, it's quite annoying that they announce this stuff months in advance, and don't have even a loose idea of when it will be released. i really enjoy the game itself, and would like to try it. now I'm waiting MAYBE 6 months after they " announce that this is ready" to play.

Sure, but you also have to look at it from their perspective. The question about implementing co-op became so loud and so frequent, that once they decided to do it, they let people know about their decision immediately. Should they according to you have stayed quiet, work on it in all secrecy and be bombarded with complaints the whole time why such a long period without any updates?

They never announced "that this is ready" btw. It has always been announced as for somewhere in 2023, without a precise date.
And it is a lot of work, so hard to predict when it'll be completely ready for them.
And I personally prefer that it works well instead of being rushed out half-ass to meet some deadline. You?

Yup, exactly this. Like if anything I'm glad the devs are keeping us updated, rather than staying silent and leave us with nothing but speculation and questions.
