WILD ANIMAL ATTACKS!!!
Why do wild animals target my donkey every time instead of Me. By the time i dismount and ready a weapon, my donkey is half dead. Three wolves attacking at once makes it hard to defend your mount. We really REALLY need to be able to Hunt/fight from horseback/donkey back. Most of all have the animals attack me rather than my mount :-)

Why would a wolf attack someone up on top of a mount? They would have to jump up in the air. That's not how wolves hunt. They take things down from behind and under the belly.

Just keep riding, press shift to gallop... You can usually out run them.

But only if you can steer them, which is pretty problematic. Or at least be able to jump off fast. The dismounting view looks good but is too slow to use when you are up against problems. Or the donkey could rear up and dump you off fast. that would work.

The quick dismount would be awesome, and I wouldn't think it would be too hard to implement. I know of at least one other game that has this mechanic in it, and it's a lifesaver.

Dear Wiz Of Woz: I meant that when I dismount to fight , ther wolves or whatever target my mount and not me...even if I am much closer to them,,,,Sorry for the misunderstanding :-)

You could just gallop past the wolves until they stop pursuing you, then leave donkey standing and return to wolves to kill them one by one.

Unless you ride a long way beyond the wolves and run back, the wolves will just run past you and still attack donkey. Sometimes wolves will 'transport' in and block any wescape, this has happened more than once :-)

You can outrun wolves. That's AWESOME. I wasn't sure you could as I tried to outrun a bison but the even on full gallop it kept on attacking me. I was too scared to try outrunning anything else.

The wisents are probably the toughest creatures in the game. I typically hit them with a longbow/poisoned iron arrow from a long way off, then switch to an iron spear when they charge (always aiming for the head). If that doesn't take them out, I switch to the iron spiked cudgel, because they're usually within melee range by then, and it takes only one hit from that to drop them.

I've had mixed success with dodging them - running behind trees (they usually clip through them), running up high/rough terrain (easy to kill yourself doing that), and just kiting them in a circle (they always eventually catch you).

The most dangerous creature in the game though is a bandit with an iron crossbow and iron bolts. They can one-shot you every time, and they never miss unless there's something (another bandit, tree, etc.) between you and them. You can peek from behind a tree and make them shoot, then dodge back behind it, but you have to be fast, and run like hell straight at them while they're reloading.

Interesting. I never thought of a multi weapon attack. I just shoot arrows at them until they are bashing into me. Then I frantically shoot arrows hoping that it dies before me.

You can trade the longbow for a crossbow since you really only have time for one shot before it's in spear range. I think the crossbow does more damage than the longbow but I hate using them myself.

I can kill a wisent with two poisoned iron bolts from an iron crossbow and manage to get the second shot off just before the wisent gets into melee range. Trying to start shooting as far away as I can so I have time to reload before the charging wisent gets to me. Aiming for the head of course both shots. Makes for an exciting time standing still reloading and wondering if I’ll get head butted before I can shoot.
I keep a melee weapon and healing potions on me incase I don’t get that second shot off or if it doesn’t kill the wisent,
