Bandit Attack 1st Year 1st Season

Thought I read somewhere that bandits don't attack until the second year. On the 3rd day of the 1st season I got wiped out by a group of bandits. I was totally unprepared for this. Not complaining just sharing some information. (Ps4 Version)

I think the bandits are randomly spawned, similarly like side quests, and their spawning isn't conditioned by how long you played.

While I don't remember I have seen bandits in spring (as I didn't run between all of the villages back at the beginning), I've had them spawned in one place during summer of the 1st year and next in autumn in another place, so they definitely spawn during 1st year of the game.

In the beginning them did not spawn the first year, but thats got changed. So now them spawn even in the first day.

It used to be that there were no bandits in the first year, but was changed a while ago. So now there can be bandits already in the first year as well. There will be a lot less of them than in later years though.

That's good to know, I was still under the misinformation they didn't spawn year one.

:D just run out from their territory and they go back to their camp, its same with every type of enemy in this game...

Ah for a second I thought you were saying they attacked your town, that would be pretty cool actually, if the town could be set up to handle that better

Probability based - season 1 has a very low probability of bandits finding you. But any probability is enough for it to happen. Is not a definitive 0% season 1

My first attempt at MD was to get attacked and killed by bandits shortly after I left
Unigost heading west to find a suitable spot to build my home. Two more tries and I decided to turn off bandits. It's been fine since then [with bandits off] ...
