Unable To Find Leather Torch Crafting
I read somewhere that it is beneficial to craft leather torches for selling, however, I am unable to find the way to craft them. I've searched the regular "Q" craft menu, the Hunting Lodge II Craft Table and the Smithy II Table, but I can't seem to find it. Is this something that was removed?

there are 2 torches :

simple torch (needing 1 stick and 10 straw to make)
torch (needing 2 leather and 2 sticks to make)

the leather torch people talk about is just called "torch"

also.. it is only beneficial to craft for selling if you have a surpluss of leather without use for.
(which can happen when you hunt a lot for meat or skulls)

more lucrative money makers are :

logs -> planks -> wooden vials

(1 tree cut down gives 2 to 4 logs,
1 log can be turned into 2 planks
1 plank can be turned in 10 wooden vial
each wooden vial is worth 3 coin
(sells for upto 2.4 coin)

this means 1 log can be turned into 48 coin.
while 1 torch sells for upto 32 coin.

so you merely use torches to dump surpluss leather for coin.. not as your main money maker.

Alternative money making uses of leather is simple bags or simple shoes made by your seamster in the sewing hut. If you don’t have an excess of sticks available. Also seamsters level up in production faster than craftsman so keeping the seamster at 100% productivity will level them in production faster than keeping a craftsman at 100% productivity.
Personally, to keep my smithy at 100% productivity before I have a mine unlocked, I like to assign them to making wooden bolts out of sticks and feathers.

I was talking craft it yourself for cash.
-
when you employ villagers labour for cash.. there is only 1 viable option : gathering feathers.. lots and lots of feathers.
-
it is by far the most lucrative option.
**
hunters gathering feathers level up to 10 rather quickly.

=========================
as for dumping leather

sticks are easy to come by....
I never had a time I ran out of those...

torch pays 32 for 2 leather and 2 sticks (16 per leather)
leather bags pay 40 for 3 leather (13.33 per leather)
simple leat leather shoes.. pay 80 for 8 leather (10 per leather
-you should never craft those leather shoes..
