change wake up time..
while often racimir works trough the night (there really should be a sleepyness bar.. nobody can handle not sleeping for 30 days;))

It always annoys me that it gets usually light ingame around 4-5 hour in the morning, villagers wake up at 6.. yet racimir when he sleeps, always sleeps till 6...

feels like a waste of 2-3 perfectly fine productive hours.
should it not be at least racimir wakes up at 6.. same as villagers? or better yet at dawn..?

there excisted knocker-uppers basicly paid people who would stay up all night and knock at your window at dawn

No need to pay people. Just drink a lot of water before going to bed; so you wake up on your own to go pee...

IRL I never wake cause I need to pee.. large bladder.. and I sweat a lot.. loosing most water that way;)

-> without alarm I quite reliably sleep 7h15min per 16h 45min awake.
meaning if awake longer I can calculate how much longer i will sleep..
and if awake shorter.. I just fail to sleep.. going in early not works for me.
**I have slept through many fire alarms and the likes.. sound does not quite well wake me..
however somebody touching me.. or turning around in the bed besides me.. wakes me up instantly (I basicly drop down.. wake in same pose.. I cannot stand people next to me who spin spin spin in their sleep.. as that will wake me all the time.. snorring.. does not bother me)

I need to go sleep on time, for just setting the alarm to be in time for work. never worked for me;) unless I manage to piss of others with that alarm who than will go wake me up to turn that noice off.. that works well:P
-
so somebody fysically poking me at an agreed thing;) would be a splended thing;)

but back to the game.. having the chicken coop within reasonable distance of your house should wake you up too..
and my wife getting out of bed to feed the baby 6 times a night.. or HER going peeing or getting out 6am.. would wake me up too..

(You should look into those alarm discs they sell for deaf/hard-hearing people for yourself. You put them under your pillow and they start vibrating and shaking on the set time.)

that could be an idea;) never heared of those...
I do sleep with my hands under my pillow (flat on belly) though.. so I likely put it under the matress instead.

I have excelent hearing when awake and when focussed (hearing well outiside normal human range) .. I just sleep very solid;)

I imagined as a kid those contaptions you see in cartoons where beds fysically would slap close and eject you out bed onto your bum (instantly waking you up..)

NPC's should get a day off... Even in the 'old' days very few people worked 7 days a week (I think)

in fact in the "old days" most people would be farmer or related to farming.
-farming never has a day off, annimals need feeding, weather waits for nobody etc.
**it was a rule to go to church, but not as strict in "no work on sunday" as we christians have now.
-> the idea of woman not working, also a more modern invention.. both in the workhouses as on the farm, every hand and every penny counted, and ALL of the household would contribute.
(children upto 6 would be wrapped in linnen like a bundle.. so they could be placed on the side while the woman was working.. and would not get into trouble.. when 6.. they would start to be actually employed in their parents farm..)
the idea of taking 2 years off from work for motherhood.. UNHEARED OFF

as for sleeping.. as artificial light did not excist.. (firewood, candles are expensive) generally people worked from dawn to dusk.. so in summer much longer workdays and less sleep, than in winters..

a day off would not be realistic.. if anything the npc should work much much more hours;)

Another case where game mechanics beat reality. Just like hitting an invisible wall with a hammer creates a house and walking into a river makes you clean and respectable. ;)

So the tavern is pointless?? No-one went to another village for goods or trade? Farms were family run, work shared. and and at harvest the whole village would help get the harvest in. Of cause people took time out to rest. Who mentioned Sunday as a 'day of rest' Please don't spout christianity, not everyone is, or most certainly was christian. Most things stopped for weddings, funerals etc. People have and always will take time out. Of cause kids got up to mischief... They would 'play' with bows/spears, run and play.

Finally THIS IS A GAME. it is NOT a depiction of absolute FACT. Let my NPC 's have a break :)
