So I would wait a bit til there's more info on that before you decide. Plus, chances are that when co-op comes out, there'll be a discount.
The game is working on Win 7/8 and 10 as minimal specs on Epic too: will Epic deny access to Win7 users too?
Oh, that may be a good new. But if I understand you correctly that means I will probably have to buy the game twice, plus the gift... I may go for this though as Steam is unsafe to buy now.
On a side note, if the game is on GoG, that means it is DRM-Free? I'll check this.

I think so, but I'm no expert on it. From what I know, on GoG you have the offline installer, so imo it will never force you on a certain platform and even if they cease to exist as a company, you'll still have access to the games you bought.
