Heir Appearance
I'm wondering how heir appearance is generated. Is it entire faces randomly generated at a time, or separate features like eyes, noses, mouths, etc.? Are those features truly "inherited" from the parents, or not?

In my game, Racimir's son (Ademar) has just gotten into his teenage years, and he looks a little bit like his father (heterochromia, straight nose) but his face is slimmer and he has lighter blonde hair. He looks nothing at all like his mother (Drogomira), though, who's round-faced with dark hair and a convex nose. He might have gotten a complexion similar to hers, but I haven't been able to get them side-by-side to see.

My guess is - but I don't know for sure since I haven't gotten that far yet, my heir is just about to turn 2 :-) - that it'll always be the same model and there's no random features or difference depending on the mother. And once he grows up he'll be an exact copy of Racimir, since there's only one player model I believe.

But again, this is my assumption. Would be nice to have it confirmed (or denied).

As I am on the second heir I get the impression the child inherits the some of the hair colors from parents especially wife. Same with facial characters.
The village children are all different maybe this applies here as well. IRL that would be the norm :)
Very funny

I'll wait until Ademar turns 18 and see how he looks then. But as of right now, he definitely looks different from Racimir.

Do post your findings here, cause I'm curious as well!

i've been playing as my heir for a while. he's definitely not a clone of racimir. rudolph (my heir) favors racimir heavily, but has lighter hair, closer to his mother's.

i'll post a side by side tomorrow.

This is how Racimir (left) and Ademar (right) look right now, with the latter at 15yo:

It remains to be seen how he'll look once he gains "adult" status.

as you can see, my racimir is hitting middle age and going a bit grey.

but yes, on the left of both shots is the heir, rudolph. note: not the leftmost guy with the coif! looks a bit like ademar, above, but i think rudolph has a slightly darker skin tone.

Time for a "they all look alike to me" joke xD

But y, the heir's hair (try saying that sentence fast!) is definitely more blonde. Curious to see how mine will turn out!

So, Ademar's all grown up now.

There wasn't much of a change between young adulthood and adulthood. However, there are still a few differences between father and son, despite the basic features being the same. Ademar has a noticeably longer face than Racimir, which has resulted in a longer (or taller) nose, and his complexion is definitely different, as well as his hair color. His mouth also appears to turn up at the corners where Racimir's turns down, though the latter's could be from aging.

Honestly, it doesn't appear like he "got" anything from his mother (other than the personality he had as a young child).

i'm still not 100%, but it does look like your heir retained his skin tone into adulthood, making him have a lighter tone than my heir.

I agree. So it looks like everyone's initial heir will look at least a tiny bit different from each other based on a few random factors.

Makes me wonder how the grandkids will turn out. XD
