You do NOT need a worker, but then you need to put the feed in their trough yourself, as this is now needed for breeding since a recent patch.
Other than that, it's a random chance. Hope it helps and you'll have lots of new piglets next season :-)

Perhaps it’s a coinkydink, but I swear if I clean the pens and fill the food the night before the season change, my odds of a baby animal go up???
Anyone else experience this, or is just a random algorithm and my observations are coincidental? Try it! 🐷🐷🐷
I'm sure it's a coincidence, cause I always keep the pens clean and food topped up (also before season change) and I've been without new born animals for 3 seasons in a row already now. I really would love some more baby goats, but so far no luck. :-(
