About happiness
Hi, I'm in a relative advanced village and now I'm focusing on building houses of rock and isolating them, but my villagers with a nice house, water, food, and wood can't get 100% happiness, what I'm missing? Thanks

Probably the decorations on floor walls and attic. Getting at least 10 decorations in each house helps a lot.
Get out your hammer and look at floor, walls and ceiling. You'll see the E key option to add stuff ... once you have enough experience in game to unlock them.

Happiness also rises when they have a job corresponding to their highest skills, when they marry, get one or two kids and grandkids.

Can be the same decoration in the houses? 3500 production seems a lot and I just can make shelves

When they got married? I'm winter year 1 and no one gets married

Winter year 1 is waaay too early to get your villagers' happiness to 100%. I had some at 100% in much later stages of the game, especially when they had grandkids and when there were events that boosted happiness. Happiness levels from -100 to +100, if they have a zero they are in a balanced middle.

having a family increases happiness, having a good insulated house, having decorations in their house, having a job they have a high skill level in, some random events at season's change, doing challenges for a good king, all these things increase happiness.

Getting to 100% is more like a bonus, not something that's the norm. :-)

I'm seeing that, by now my wife is 85% because I isolated all my house, and probably others too. I'm waiting so long to pass the seasson because I want all the money I can to seed in summer

Mmh, but that's my question, when they got married? I have a lot of families but no one get married

How many days per season do you play? Season change is vital for the game mechanics. Everything gets updated and many things happen after a number of seasons. Also aging happens with season changes. If you play on 30 days per season, you can figure out that two years to pass will take you 30x8=240 days. There's pros and cons to that, but it's a good idea to be aware of this mechanic.

Mmh I see... right now a many things I do manually and I can't automate all what I want, I normally play a lot in a seasson, but I'll take care about that mechanic. My final question is if happiness affects something? Thanks for your replies

If your villagers' happiness drops to -100, they will leave your village. I never had this happen myself. They need to be homeless and have no access to food, water and firewood for quite some time for this to happen.

I think one of the last patches made positive happiness values matter a bit, they might produce a bit faster. I honestly never noticed it.

For marriage, you need to have one man and one woman in one house. The time it takes for them to marry and get kids is determined by the age gap between the two. The closer they are in age, the faster it happens. The maximum age gap for them to marry is 20 years. I usually have couples with an age gap in the range of 10 years. Even when they are close, it might take a year or two for them to marry.

They indeed produce more if they are happier. Up to 20% extra production when at 100% happiness is the max I think.
