It doesn't hold very much or produce much rot.

but you can build many. if pigs produce too much the compost bins may be a good alternative. only thing is you have to fill them yourself.

Hi Gamer, also it produces alot more rot. I've placed 150 meat into it (max capacity) and it yealded 450 rot .. 150 cabage produced 600 .. it depends on what you put into it before change of season .. berries just drop on ground before change of season. Happy gaming :))

wow I didn't know they produced anything I thought they were just decorations. Does the rot have to be harvested or does it go into storage automatically?

You need to pick it out yourself.

Hi, you have to get it yourself .. it will stay there forever if you don't .. mine are by the barn .. so I get it and turn it into fert right away :))

It was really mostly introduced for the people who have turned off in the customizations that dropped items on the floor turn to rot on season change. You typically turn this off if you want to use food to decorate your village and houses, but then ofc then you miss out on the opportunity to easily turn food to rot so you can use it as fertilizer. Hence come the compost bins! :-)
