Anyone else having issues trying to obtain Happy Wife, happy life?

So I have spent a lot of money on gifts to my wife in-game, I made sure to give them for a total of three years an now going on to my fourth year of giving a gift, but I still have been unable to get the "Happy wife, happy life" achievement.

The thing says give your wife gifts for 2 following years which I seem to have done.
I have made sure even that it was one day over the last date to make sure it would have counted but it did not count I guess.

And I have checked wiki but its about useless as the description for obtaining the advancement when it comes to help.

If anyone has any ideas why its not working I would love to hear about it.
I am sure its just something I have missed due to a lack of good explanation online about it but I am working to get every achievement so I want to get this one.

It's one gift each season for two years. So 8 in total.

Are you also 'flirting' with her? You should have a little chat with her every day.

I gave her a gift each season, but longer than for 2 years, I guess I forgot one season. One fine day I got the achievement. Sometimes there's other reasons for not getting achievements, for example if you're not online while playing.

The way it was said sounded like it was on a year bases so like one year then the next year and then the year after that.

Lol, I do, soon as I see it going down I normally give a gift, it never gets under 98% :D
