Dont worry about that
Partly I don't want to pair them all up and have a baby boom though kids do want to have other kids to play with. If that could actually happen in game?
They were travelers, sporting the traveler icon in Inspector mode. I even invited a few to my village because they had the skills I was looking for.
As for the available workers for hire, to me it seems rather random. Some seasons I seem to have more males, other times more females. But tbf, now that I'm not recruiting I don't pay that close attention to the ratio anymore. Just sometimes quickly glance if something good's available when I run by. (damn, that sounds so bad)
Cant answear that, but you should have seen my last few years in my save.
People everywhere on the roads, and sometimes totally empty in the villages.
