Male villagers don't sleep in the house

I have the problem that my male villagers walk through the village the whole night. They don't go sleeping. Only the women in the houses are sleeping.

Is this normal or is it a bug?
Or does I have to do anything to mate the man and woman so that the man isn't scared to sleep in the house with his new woman. ^^

They are doing the "manly" thing of patrolling the village to make sure everything is safe and no bandits or wild animals are approaching. So no bug and it doesn't affect their reproduction.

(just between you and me; their wives probably snore :-))

I think it depends on how many male villagers you have, there will always be 2 (or three?) on patrol at night (those are the ones carrying torches) and if you have more men than that they take it in turns while the others sleep.
