When will villagers die?
I have a small employment problem in couple years when children start reaching 18 years. I have a population at 97 and built 58/65 buildings. And still not the tech for windmill or tavern. I have enough jobs for the adult population now but once the children are adults will fast run out of works for them or houses for them to live in. So as horrible as it may sound when will villagers start dying?

I think you can send them away from your village by typing X when you are on their names.

As they become 60, there's a chance of dying each season change.

That will be a intresting conversation with Tyabalda (44) and Jaczemir (39) and their two sons at 15 and 11 in 7 years.
"Thank you for loyal service. You two were the first villagers who joined my settlement. Your sons have now moved out and set up in their own house. You are banished from the settlement."

You can always raise the building limit in the custom game settings.

Every season after 60 they have an increasing chance to die. It is random though, I died at like 62 even though I had townsfolk living well into 70s.

If you're having population problems keep people in the 3 bed houses instead of 4 bed. The big houses don't increase their mood over the 3 bed but you can get a cascade of overpopulation and huge maternity leave.

Aye I was thinking would cause me population problems so thought I would live in best house and all others in simple small house. But then ended up with me in house and all others in simple house. First batch of children is not that many with only 4 at 15-16. The worst year with materity leaves was the ages 7-8 with 16 females together with their newborns.

You let them breed to soon. I get all their skills to at least all 7s before I let them breed. Never had a population problem and the kids come out strong.

(Edit: I also increase the building maximum to 200% because I have the ram for it and need double the houses to keep them separate while their skills are being raised.)

I tend to swap the women around for unmarried couples between houses in the first few years so that delays them from settling with a partner and mating up for a while.

My oldest villager now is 69. Many died in their 60s. My wife died at 58 (odd). Samdor died at 99. In my last village, all my first gen villagers are dead - made a nice graveyard for them too as they passed.

Population 87, under age 14: 22, Apprentice age 14 to 17: 12, turned adult 10. Keep swapping apprentices around for max skill upgrades. Anybody know why extraction is so painfully slow in comparison to farming or market stall? I have one extraction place set up as 100% straw and it took 8 years for one skill upgrade there.
Added 2 more production buildings and 1 extraction and keep the other newly adults at the stables. So far I'm at 69 buildings which includes two unfinished houses, trying to keep building numbers as low as possible in regards to game function (taking the developer's advice).
Windmill is only one employee, which really should be more than that, as well as the tavern with only 2, since both come at late game and are expensive to build.
Love the idea of a nice graveyard NickTwist and I'm keeping track of all villagers so I know who goes first, will include their main used tool on the grave.
