Kitchen worth it
I have 23 villagers now and a pretty stable income source, through flax. I have orchards and I plant cabbage when not doing flax, and a bit of oats/rye in preparation to get pigs.

Is it worth it to get a kitchen? I was thinking potage and flatbread could be made. Will my villagers eat it and will it increase their mood? Or is it better to sell it? I previously had a kitchen but tore it down as it wasn’t being staffed and I didn’t feel like cooking. But now that things are more stable I’m wondering if it’s worth having.

Personal opinion but yes. My kitchen provides all the food needs of the village. Villager mood is not changed by what food they have. Villagers will eat whatever you allow them to eat in the demand control. They have a priority as shown in the demand control,

A kitchen can support a whole village, but that's up to you. I use mine as supportive bakery, not even running on 100%, so I have to add a few self-cooked soups exactly once a 15 days season.

Year 25, more than 100 inhabitants, four kitchens. One soup kitchen, one bakery and two cheese kitchens. The overflow gets sold via market stalls. At a certain point you might not want to do everything yourself. Yes, villagers are slow in the beginning but they get faster the more skilled they are, there's perks that make your villagers work even faster and I'm currently earning a lot of money with my kitchens.
