Building and water
I moved my village to the swamps next to Sambor, and I keep getting mixed messages about where I can and can't build a house in the water.

When there's a small stream for example, you can definitely build houses above that stream, given the entrance and backside are both on dry land.

When there's shallow puddles of water, at times you can build your house into them. Like one house, I kept moving the blueprint away from a bigger water so that I could build it, and it ended up being buildable in a water puddle. At other times, the water is quite some distance away from the blueprint and I keep getting the message that I can't build in the water.

Can anyone enlighten me about the mechanics behind that so that I don't have to constantly guess what the game tells me what in fact isn't true? Thank you :)

As far as I understand if any part of a building is touching water it'll flag it that it "can't be built on water". I'm confused as to why it's allowing some of your buildings. Maybe that stream works because the land is elevated on either side and the water isn't touching the building? Although it seems to me that one should say "uneven terrain". I've never tried living in the swamp before.
