UI Scale
I would have really loved this game but had to refund due to constant squinting at tiny text size and no option to scale it, this isnt the only game guilty of this, I just fail to understand why developers insist on micro text you need 20\20 vision to read, its a real shame/

Run the game, if you haven't already to generate the config files
Increase UI/font size in medieval dynasty and any other modern UE title
1) Go to AppData/Local in your user folder (i.g. "C:/Users/[MyUser]/AppData/Local")
2) Next browse to the following sub folder
Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
3) Open Engine.ini with your choice of text editor
4) Add the following at the end of that file
[/script/engine.userinterfacesettings]
ApplicationScale=1.289

Next time you run the this game, it will generate all the paths for that setting, the only thing that matters is "ApplicationScale". 1.289 will multiply the scale by that number... so it's
1.289 x the default scale

What size screen are you using? I have heard of this issue on xbox but not pc.

They are talking about adjustable UI because console players really want it. I'd imagine if they implement it it'd be game wide not just console specific update.

I play on a gaming laptop with only a 15" screen so its a real problem as I dont have great eyes. I have played there latest game planet crafter witch is totally great by the way and have no such problem.

I hope they do introduce UI scaling as this is a title I would love to purchase.

My similar issue, however, is only the font with the alert of deer vs boar in the area.

This should be pinned

Not a bad idea; grouped them in a pinned "helpful tips" section with a reference to this thread and some others - more to be added in the future.
Does anyone know how to find this in the steamdeck browser?

I did this and it still works, however the AppData and Local folders were automatically hidden by Windows and so I couldn't find or search for them normally. Instructions I found online said to search for %AppData% but that didn't work. I had to instead hit the Windows button and the r button (win-r), and search appdata in the special box that popped up. To avoid this issue again I then pinned the AppData folder to my quickaccess on the sidebar of the folder browser.

In the game Medieval Dynasty itself, you need to set it to Windowed Fullscreen instead of Fullscreen or Windowed, otherwise either all the text will be cut off or the text will be super blurry.

I use a 22 inch screen set to 1440x900 resolution. The largest I personally can write into engine.ini without Main Menu game text getting cut off is

[/script/engine.userinterfacesettings]
ApplicationScale=1.36

This will cut off the right part of the text during in-game dialog when it's your character being able to pick a dialog. However the trade-off is worth it as I can finally read the majority of the text without sticking my face 2cm in front of the screen (I am visually impaired from birth).

I haven't yet seen anyone figure out how to change the UI for the inventory screen or any of the other elements, that would be a lifesaver as the text is even smaller on some of those.

There is a way to replace the font type itself to use a special Sans Serif font or a font like Dyslexie which is easier to read at smaller sizes and with less eyestrain. The Thai Localization mod over on Nexus Mods has replaced the in-game font. However I don't know how to do it myself.
