Make sure that you don't hold a tool in your hand, just the torch and left click I think.
Okay, will keep that in mind.
But point is that your private personal home isn't as private and safe as it should be.
An axe is a handy tool for killing a wolf if you don't have a bow....
I already do use it when I no longer have a choice, but you guys may notice that my thread title is "Locking doors" instead of "how to deal with an wolf if I can't hide from it".
My point is that a house is supposed to protect me from everything outside (unless broken down), and its door should be lockable.
Not to say that I don't agree with you. Bars on doors are elementary technology (from a character POV) and should be possible. They could be a bit tricky in terms of animation, since they bolt would extend out from the door texture. Later on, you learn how to make different types of doors that LOOK more secure. I don't think they actually are, though.
From an wolf, yes, if I am able to lock the door.
Perhaps not bandits. I also wrote "unless broken down" (buildings are apparently breakable in this game, right? with the condition % and all)
They still do apparently.
