There's a cheat engine that enables you to do this. I don't recommend.
I desperately want the option to expand - I'll even take a nag screen to confirm that the performance risk is on me. As much as I want to go beyond 130, I'm not about to mess with RAM.
I am playing with limit of 130 000 because why not. At this moment, hardest difficulty, year 8, 135 building, aiming for much more, game is running fine, low FPS, sure, but what would you expect from low-end laptop that can barely run Cyberpunk 2077.
All in all, all flaws are nothing compared to pointless cap. I expect i will reach a point where game will become way too slow or it will just break.
I plan to review my experience, propably make some screenshots. With limit removed, game is a whole new experience, i dont have to think which building to build or not, i do not omit buildings because i could build something better. I just build whatever i want or whatever my economy needs. Army of chickens? Yes please. Dozens of storehouses? Why not.
So far... here is me stomping my village https://i.imgur.com/lWA5zij.jpeg :D
Please also be careful when using third party software and services like this. Those often come with strings attached. I'm sure you know, but not everybody might. Just a general warning to remain cautious.
Tx for the warning Goldie; I'll be cautious. Not sure if i'll use it yet, but when i start running against the building limit it could be fun to try out.
Yeah, that's no longer an option and hasn't been for quite some time. They removed the BuildingsLimitMultiplier option from the save game file, which is why the only option right now is the cheat engine.
Maybe it vanishes later in game but as soon as i started, it WAS here.
I hope devs are not using this to "fix" the game again so we cannot bypass this limit...
Anyway, yea, i wondered why save files are now smaller. They propably changed them a bit. Good thing i have some old ones saved with old coding that can be edited.
You can also download some from nexusmods.
I set my game to 200% but I never reach that number of buildings because I put a lot of decorations around each building. I would probably need six to eight generations if I had a city of 1000 buildings to decorate.
Also quality and quantity are not really mutually exclusive in this game.
