Building limit past 200%
I understand the build limit is there for computer performance purposes but that isn't a problem for me. Is there a way to go past the 200% parameter? Somebody upload a save to nexus mods claiming a 500% building limit. How?

Most likely a 3rd party programme, which I don't advise to use at all

*** Edit, check Veny's post from Jul 21 @ 7:38am for better answer than my original post here ***

There's a cheat engine that enables you to do this. I don't recommend.

I desperately want the option to expand - I'll even take a nag screen to confirm that the performance risk is on me. As much as I want to go beyond 130, I'm not about to mess with RAM.

Cheat engine my ass, it is just a simple save file edit where you change building limit multiplier. This will only affect your curent save (and future saves made with that edited game)
I am playing with limit of 130 000 because why not. At this moment, hardest difficulty, year 8, 135 building, aiming for much more, game is running fine, low FPS, sure, but what would you expect from low-end laptop that can barely run Cyberpunk 2077.
All in all, all flaws are nothing compared to pointless cap. I expect i will reach a point where game will become way too slow or it will just break.

I plan to review my experience, propably make some screenshots. With limit removed, game is a whole new experience, i dont have to think which building to build or not, i do not omit buildings because i could build something better. I just build whatever i want or whatever my economy needs. Army of chickens? Yes please. Dozens of storehouses? Why not.

So far... here is me stomping my village https://i.imgur.com/lWA5zij.jpeg :D

Veny, I'm not even close to the limit yet; but I might want to try this too at some point. Which save file editor are you using? (If i google it, I get a few hits, but I want to make sure I use something that's actually working and has apparently a satisfied user :-))

Guys, careful when discussing cheats and game edits in depth. It makes the bots nervous.

Please also be careful when using third party software and services like this. Those often come with strings attached. I'm sure you know, but not everybody might. Just a general warning to remain cautious.

Thank you Veny !
Tx for the warning Goldie; I'll be cautious. Not sure if i'll use it yet, but when i start running against the building limit it could be fun to try out.

As i said, there is a save file size limit that page can use. Better use it sooner or else you may have your save file too large and you will be unable to edit it.

Yeah, that's no longer an option and hasn't been for quite some time. They removed the BuildingsLimitMultiplier option from the save game file, which is why the only option right now is the cheat engine.

Y, I'm planning to use it for an entire new save to experiment with, not on my current game. My current game i'm keeping edit-free :-)

Bummer. I just tried it and you are right. Ah well, 200% buildings it is then. :(

Uh... no. When i created the game a week ago, that multiplier WAS here and i edited it. Otherwise i would not be playing the game i am playing :D
Maybe it vanishes later in game but as soon as i started, it WAS here.
I hope devs are not using this to "fix" the game again so we cannot bypass this limit...

Anyway, yea, i wondered why save files are now smaller. They propably changed them a bit. Good thing i have some old ones saved with old coding that can be edited.
You can also download some from nexusmods.

I personally prefer quality over quantity.
I set my game to 200% but I never reach that number of buildings because I put a lot of decorations around each building. I would probably need six to eight generations if I had a city of 1000 buildings to decorate.

The idea of the bots getting nervous and possibly running amock sounds very worrying. is there an easy way to hide from them, like going upstairs for instance with the original Daleks? ;-)

You do you. This is a sandbox game so the more way we can play the better. No limit will not influence the way you play. Yet for me, building cap is a serious problem cuz i am unable to build huge village with hundreds of people.
Also quality and quantity are not really mutually exclusive in this game.
