So is it saying that out of that animal I can turn a certain percentage of that fur into leather?
If I choose 100% meat that means I throw all the fur away and have nothing to make leather out of.
Why would I need to divide my work between keeping the skin or keeping the meat if I kill the animal. If I'm going to eat it, I have 100% of the fur to keep as fur or to work into leather. That is what I don't get, it doesn't really make sense to me because of course I am going to keep the animal skin.
In game perspective, as aptly stated, it's a game mechanic. You're telling your hunter to gather production materials as you require. You have one focusing on the meat to feed your village, and one gathering materials to make clothing, tools, etc.
Right, got it, thanks. I over complicate things all the time.
But this is propably the only example in game because animals kinda go in package... meat + leather or meat + fur :D
Oh, maybe mining is same thing - you cannot really mine iron or copper without also mining stone.
But yea, it in end, you dont really want realism in this example. You would be swimming in useless fur and leathers while trying to get some meat :D
And may I add this is missing in so many survival games.
Chalk another one for Medieval Dynasty devs for a great accurate game, harvest an animal gain meat leather hides fur , love it.
