Tavern Question
I couldn't wait to get the tavern, but I have had one for many years now. I am trying to figure out what it is good for? Yes the townies like it, but what does it produce and what income is derived?

It is a crafting building that produces beverages like juice, beer, mead, and wine, which you can sell by taking them to vendors or by selling them from a food stall. It does not sell anything itself.

I have more things to sell than you can shake a stick at. It doesn't seem this is really worth it. It would be more fun if there were passerby s who would buy items at the tavern. I just end up with lots of stale beer and wine in the food chest ;-(.

Those will end up in the food storage, not in the resource storage... :P
Also, all kind of wine and beer sells for a really high price and can be sold automatically with a market stall. It's up to you to take that money or leave it.

Yea, recently i made a topic about it. It is a shame that late game recipes are mostly good only for sale and they cannot compete with simple recipes in their food or water values.
Not to mention that money are quite useless in this game BUT at least we can spend some on fast travel that comes with next update (currently in open beta).

still your opinion, and not an actual fact about the game. Sadly you dont try to understand, so.. We should just stop trying. But, sinse your not 100 right, or just please trying to convince people that your right.
It brakes thier gameplay, and eventual thier role play for those who like that.

Opinion? Do not hide behind relativism, what i present is a simple fact that you can simply measure. Sure, you can pretend that juices or wine can compete with buckets of water in terms of water they provide (maybe in 1:20 ratio or something like that). Or you can pretend that money are actually important, even if almost every player who can build an inn will tell you otherwise. Which you can find all around this forum. You will not find any topics about how money are hard to make, quite the opposite.
Maybe you are lazy to do a math or more likely you are just my personal stalker who cry about everything i write.

Roleplay is roleplay, this has nothing do to with the fact that i present some numbers. If you want to be unefficient, feel free to do it. Game allows that, in the end, it is a sandbox game with tons of options.

And again, do not hide behind relativism and do not try to pretend that lack of balance helps that precisious roleplay of yours. F.e. why should i buy wine from inkeeper in some village for 300 silver? No matter how rich i am, it will be a waste. Huge waste to be specific. Recipe variety is fine, but value of some products is extremely low considering the costs and investments.

But if your vision of roleplay is "I will buy stuff that has insanely bad value just because i can"... whatever, just do not hide behind it and do not use it as an argument why balance in this game is perfectly fine. Because people can notice it... and i am not talking just about me.

The only one who tries to convice other people is you. I merely agreed with what OT does not like.

Ounce more Veny you go on off topic trying to show how smart you are.
Just answer the question which is "what is the use of the tavern".
We don't want numbers, just your opinion.
No offence intended.

Agree UglyBird. Veny seems to like to give people a drubbing. And, I already sell it in a stall. I just wish it was a bit more interactive. And Veny, one of the goals is to make $1 Million. I am approaching $2 Million thank you. Just because I ask a question doesn't mean I need a lecture.

This question was already answered, no need to answer it twice. You speak about offtopic yet your post adds even less than mine and have less than zero overall value.

Sure, hoarding money is fun and as i said, inn products are only good for money. I am not lecturing you, i am just saiying that what bothers you bothers me (and many other players) as well, let me quote you: "I have more things to sell than you can shake a stick at. It doesn't seem this is really worth it."

And to add some info nobody has so far: In your inn an NPC vendor may spawn. That vendor who sells trinkets you can give to your wife.

C'mon, guys, please keep it civil and on topic.
There is no reason for disputes at all.
At the end of the day, we are here to clarify issues and enjoy the game together. Arguing and bickering doesn't help anyone.

So you ask what inn is good for, and then you pretend that you know everything about it and mock people who come with some information? That speaks volumes...

They actually don't get happier because you have wine and brew, these items are only for sale to make money, but your villager are happy to have a tavern to go to after work.
