Green Balls of Light?
I have been playing for a few months now, and I still have a lot to learn. I searched the forum for this topic so if it is somewhere else please post the link or title of the post.

Anyway, as I said, I have been playing for a few months now and I have been randomly seeing green balls of light form and quickly vanishes. Nothing is happening when it shows up, but it's just something that I am wondering if something should be happening and is not on my game. I am a person that loves mysteries and puzzles but this one is driving me nut. lol

Any info would be very much appreciated.

Happy Gaming!

OK, then I'm out. Never seen any green balls of light in more than 1000 hours ingame.

it seems to be some sort of graphic thing,, because it does nothing to game, and it appears when i am rounding a building or when i am running fast with the tab key pressed. and the Graphics are catching up, but i'm not sure

I've not seen anything like that in this game.

I saw something similar start to happen in Elden Ring a couple of weeks ago shortly before my video card died, though those were typically neon green streaks near trees when I'd quickly look in a different direction, not balls. Might be your GPU starting to give up the ghost.

thanks for some info, i'll check my GPU, My PC is under a year old, but that doesn't say it could be having issues.

Mine is under 6 months old - Dell believes their CPUs in laptops should run at their Tj. Max temp and my new Alienware has had the cooling system replaced due to my CPU hitting Tj. Max about 20 seconds after booting on all 8 cores and staying there experiencing thermal throttling.

Then a couple weeks later I had to have the motherboard replaced because, as the tech who came to the office to fix it said, "it looks like your GPU melted. I take it you won't be getting another one of these again."

So if it's under a year old, it could be covered by the warranty. I basically have a new computer, but it was all covered!

wow, That is crazy, I have a Skytech gaming that i got, so i'll check into it, good luck with your Alienware.

I did see something of the kind once a few days ago. You're not the only one ^^

Oh good, thank you for stating that! I'm glad to know it's not just something on my game.

I have also seen such strange ball lightning-like lights in the game.

They are either the GPU or the game has become sentient beyond what we planned.

Check your windows installation too. There has been an update for Win 11 and for Nvidia cards recently. A few people had problems with the former. An sfc /scannow will fix it.

Is it a dedicated graphics card or on board? I'm using an older GTX 970 as my pc is over seven years old now and have had zero issues to date graphics wise with MD.

Little grey men have been spying on earth for centuries so what you are seeing may not be the fault of your hardware or software.
