The Well.
Can someone explain to me why the Well is so complicated?
It's always the one crying about no tools.
I put 15 buckets in the barrel, 15 buckets in the resource storage, 15 buckets in the food storage.
What else do I have to do?

By the way, a single bucket should last decades.
What are they doing with the buckets? Using them for helmets in a war on the side?

Have you assigned a worker to the well? If not you will have to fill the buckets yourself and put them in the food storage. When a bucket gets used / emptied it will automaticall be transferred to the resource storage for you to refill. It works the same way for the water bags.

Remove the empty buckets from the barrel and the food storage.
Those belong into the resource storage and nowhere else.

About the missing tools for your well - did you by any chance take a look into your food storage and look how many buckets WITH water are already in there?
Did you also - by any chance - look at the main page of your management menu and compare how much water you already have stored in the food storage and how many per day your villagers need?

Best would be to upload your save so we can have a look at it. This way we would know best where exactly you might made a mistake or misunderstood how it's supposed to be working.
If you don't like that, a screenshot of the main page of your management menu would help as well.
If you're not sure where to find and how to share your save with us, see this topic:

Yes, and all they do is complain on the top left for not having any tools. I even put the buckets in their own house.
Once in awhile they work, then it stops and they cry more.
I guess because they filled it with water and now have no empty buckets?

I love this game but this is one thing that is way too complicated for what it is.
People know how to get water from a well by themselves. It just takes me out of the game completely that I have to micro manage buckets. And the lifespan of a bucket is hilariously short.

It's become Bucket Manager Simulator 2022

Try adjusting the work production intensity of the well.

All that means is all the buckets are full. Just ignore it.

Ignore it, or adjust the workload in the well to a level which meats as precisely as possible the actual demand of your village to avoid massive overproduction.
The sliders for workload in each production building are there for a reason.

This seems the problem. If you have asigned someone to the well but didn't set an production intensity , the worker will produce nothing. it's for all production buildings the same.

I wouldn't bother with a water carrier if I where you. The villagers drink very little water and the carrier will fill those buckets way faster then they can drink it no matter what intensity you set. Just do it yourself every so often and put that villager working elsewhere.

If you have a full time kitchen making bread or pastries then you may need one.
It might have been nice if the well worker had been left out and just having a well and buckets in resource storage meant that villagers would get their own water as needed,

Although that might not play so well with the way the kitchen work.

The problem was I put the intensity up to 100. Because why wouldn't you.
It's too bad it doesn't auto adjust as needed. Like people would do naturally.

Or just trigger a refill when it goes below a certain percentage and have the villager do other things meanwhile. Maybe more of a general maitanence villager rather than just a well crew.

if (Available_Water <= 10%)
{
VillagerGetWater();
}
else
{
RepairHouses();
}
