Calculation of production
Hy there

I'm working on an excel calculation for an overview for my "village-output". But I have problems with the calculation.

For example log:
Wiki fandom say with 100% intensity and 1 skill level extraction (of a villager) the production is 20 logs (in a day). Well I can not recalculate it.

I have considered:
- my diplomacy skill level (Inspiring Speech) (->10%, means total 110%)
- skill level of all villagers in the woodshed (->9)
- production intensity of log (->100%)

With this factors my woodshed produce 222.57 logs in a day (shown in the overview ingame). Backcalculating to 1 skill level and no inspiring speech would mean 22.48 logs in a day and not 20 logs in a day.

So where is the mistake, what factor did I forget?

The wiki is outdated. Take everything with a grain of salt there.

I think what you are missing is the mood of your villagers; with the heir update recently, they changed it so that their mood also affects their production rate. I don't have the exact numbers but that is also a factor now.

yeah ok, but 22.48 is such a strange number, it looks wrong to me. I looks like I did forget something :(

Edit sorry, yes, the mood is it. If a take the mood in the calculation it works, and I can recalculate exactly the 20 logs :) Thank you very much. Now I only have to find out how I can take it easy in my overview... horrorcalculation

This is from the patchnotes:

Mood of workers affects the speed of production (from Mood: -100% = Production speed: -20%, to Mood: 100% = Production speed: +20%).
Mood of workers affects the speed of trading (from Mood: -100% = Trading speed: -20%, to Mood: 100% = Trading speed: +20%).
Mood of workers affects the speed of buildings repairing (from Mood: -100% = Repairing speed: -20%, to Mood: 100% = Repairing speed: +20%).

Maybe from this you can calculate what extra bonus you get from the mood of your specific villager? I doubt it'll be a nice rounded number so that's probably why you get to 22.48?

Ah, our posts overlapped :p
Glad you managed to get the calculation right. Good luck in your spreadsheet; it should be possible to get a formula out of that.

The mood my villagers in this woodshed have is 66 and 58. 2 Workplaces, means maximum 200 mood. 66+58 = 124
Maximum + 20% Production

Rule of three:
20/200*124 = 12.4

22.48/112.4*100=20

I like even numbers.

Try to make your villagers a bit less happy so you keep their mood always at exactly 0; you'll get a nice even number that way... ;-)
