Animal breeder for donkey?
I've got one donkey. Do I need to have a worker at the donkey haus all the time? I refill his feed tray so it seems like a waste of a worker.

No, you don't "need" one but make sure to collect the manure as well.

I read that you need a breeder to have the donkeys to reproduce... Not 100% sure about that.

You dont need workers for any animals to reproduce. Just , atleast, one make one female.

I read that only pigs produced manure? Donkeys do too?

Mine does.

Only pigs create manure in the production sense (you can assign the worker to collect it) but since the new update every animal defecate create a physical manure around their houses :P

Along with the heir update some changes have been applied to animal houses.
This means, the player now can pick up specific products in each animal house by himself (e. g. eggs in hen house and geese house) and doesn't need to leave this work completely to NPCs.
The other thing which has changed is that ALL animals now produce a certain amount of manure per day which can be collected by the player as well.

However, you should be aware that
  • the amount of specific products the player can collect himself per day is very limited (NPC production will always be a lot more than what the player can get from the stables)
  • manure collected by NPC workers is still limited to the pigsty. NPC workers can not collect any manure from all other kinds of animal houses.

Edit:
... or what mapet said ... xD

Edit 2:
... and AliveSince1961 ... ^^

I like that we have 3 comments actually saying the same.
This shows that either we all are complete idiots or we are right. :)
Or they can think; Those idiots are rights. :steamhappy:

Quick queston...My donkey stopped doing any animations and just stands there after i saddled and rode him. Is that normal? Before i bought the saddle, he would walk around his shelter and lay down at night.

If I remember correctly, you have to wait a season change, so your saddled companion will go back to its “natural” behaviour (if not overburdened) an roam around the assigned stable.
But once you called it in a current season, it will stay where you left it and only play the saddled idle animations.

All other (not saddled) animals will get reset to their stables places even when you sleep a night during your current season.
