At the moment, changing sliders is the lesser of two evil's we have to deal with in the game. It can be said that it is more painful to gather the items as the herbalist, and the farmer job is by far the slowest task depending on the field size.
Many suggestions have come up and the only suggestion I would have for those two jobs is the following :
Season Pages ... We can then set the task per season and the task would be valid and it wouldn't show tasks that were "out of season". We can then perform a "set and forget" and only adjust as needed.
Build 4 Herbal Huts.
Each Hut for each season.
Set the rate and forget about it.
Each season change = move workers.
Build 2 or more Barns.
Same song and dance for each season change (move workers and be done).
What's the problem?
Answer ... Building limit and taxes.
IMO, not a problem because we can have a ridiculous amount of buildings (135) and we can earn an even absurd amount of money at the moment. Besides, extra buildings are probably the meta anyway for most players ... :)
On an off topic note ... I wouldn't say managing the sliders slow, I would say it's boring. I hate paper work and I cringe at each season change. I think QoL stuff is good but the game design seems to want us to feel the pain on both ends of the stick.
Maybe we can get the wife to do the books for us, eh?
