Yes it does, however it is time consuming and unnecessary. If you are out and no where near a village, it serves its purpose. But if your in a village and still need to do business in that village, you should be able to sleep there. Also, when we are sleeping by our campfire, we should be able to pitch a tent and have bedding like the bandits.
Yes. This could be included with "rent-a-bed" in a tavern.
