Getting a daughter
Are there any new information/updates regarding getting a daughter?
Im not talking about a Female PC or heir. Just the possibility of getting a daughter as first or second child.

Only one child, the male heir, for the PC.

As Racimir you can only have one child which will always be a male.

So still no plans to change it in the future?

Back in 2020, I think it was their first AMA they said "When we improve the heir, we will work on letting the players have more than one child". Ever since then I've been so excited for that to happen. So, this may not be the case any longer?

It was possible at some point. The player character never could have more than one child, but their heir could have more than one as an NPC, so when you took over your heir you had 2-4 kids, some of whom could be girls.

Then they fixed that as apparently it was leading to bugs.

Will this be expanded upon Dev?

Be interesting to have to pay a dowry if a NPC decides on marrying your daughter. You could allow for both Male, and Female, and actually allow children to die along with your wife in child birth.

For myself I wouldn't mind having the game be more realistic. You could also decrease the time for a child grows or increase the time you personally live so you can have more children.

Cheers.

Why womens are inferiors ? wtf. You better change that if you dont want to eat a bad buzz, i am pretty sure this is some good material for some feminists associations to make a little crusade on twitter.

The game is too good and dont deserve that.
Please change this in the future, dont be like that.

Why are you making up a fake narrative though? The fact that the PC can only have a male child does not in any way imply that women are inferior.

So explain why cant we have a daughter sherlock ?
The peasants womens were doing the same things than the man did at the time, the were working the fields just like them.
So the fact its not implemented speaks for itself

Women are not inferior, but we only have one player character. We do not have the model, mechanics or text to fit a different kind of player character. That is why playing, for example, as a woman currently is not possible.

In general, please keep this discussion constructive and respectful. Thank you!

Alright thanks for the anwser, but they dont need to be playable ,the women heirs can be npc's, it just needs to be implemented thats what i am saying.
They could be npcs and help at the fields or in the buildings.
The fact its not implemented is very strange and i dont think it makes you guys looking good.
I hate to critic the game because i love it, but when something is wrong, we have to say it. Have a good day

You dont need to make a female Player character. I didnt ask about a female player character.
Just give the player 2 kids like all the other npcs.
The first will always be a male and the heir and the second child a female. Problem solved no need to make a new model or rewrite the Story.

We cannot simply use the full NPC child mechanic for the player. We have tried that at first, but having several children and having female children when there is no player character has lead to bugs before. That is why you can only have one and that one is always male.

Will that change in the future? Maybe, but I can't promise anything, as so often.

You have a good day as well, ..Ajax..!
