No option to stop food from, spoiling anymore?
I was last here early in early access and now I do not see an option to stop food from spoiling. So is there no way to turn off food spoilage?

the last option in new game: dropped food don´t spoile (for decoration). But for chest and inventar storages food the option is gone.

so the day before each season change Ill have to drop all food if I want it to not spoil, then pick it up the next day? Thats annoying.

No, he means when u start a NEW game, there is a new option for that the last option (custom game).
IF u drop food before season change it WILL rot and you can use it to make fertilizer, that is how most of us run in the begining (new game)double cabbage(spring and summer season) and u have lots of rot for fertilizer.

you two are saying two different things. subwaybananas clearly states "dropped food don't spoile (for decoration). while you, mouse, are saying the food will spoil, aka turn into fertilizer. which is it? I do not want my food to spoil.

the last option in custome new game is to turn off the spoile for dropped food.
if you don´t choose this option its normal. All food spoile into rot. dropped food with season change and after a few season the food in your inventory and storage boxes. Food storages last double time.
If you choose this option only dropped food don´t spoile and you can use it as decoration. The food in your inventory and in chests spoile like before.

You have to change options to use that but before start your game. You can't change it later.

To sum it up:

1) Select the option for dropped food not to spoil at the start of the game = dropped food will not spoil. Food you decorate with, for example. It will still spoil in chests and storages, so you can make quark and cheese or fertiliser.

2) Do not select that option= all food spoils. It spoils fastest if dropped.

3) Ask Goldi to turn the option on for you after having already started a game = get a pie and option 1. ;)

This is why it's pointless looking for answers on here. You have the internet at your fingertips to find the information you want. It's like asking someone a question knowing full well your phone is in your pocket and you can find it. It's just bizarre, I'm sorry, not trying to be offensive.

I'm right here.

Those who answered know the game really well - and they both are right. It just depends on which option you chose.

put the option not to spoil it anywhere, it will make me and many more people happy.

Unfortunately if they do that then we can never produce buckets of soured milk ourselves to use to produce quark, especially if it’s not an option we can change in an active game.

could create a barrel-like structure to sour milk
