Bird’s Eye View

Is there any way for me to get an aerial view/snapshot of my village?
The town is growing and I feel like having a decent top-down view would help me plan out how to expand, sorta like a blueprint.

Would like to know as well. I've seen couple of screen shoots from the eagle eye view and they looks great. How you guys doing it?

There is no way ingame. Exept for having a mountain top close by to climb on to.

Not so much deny, as: Please let us know that you used it when you report bugs. You may still find some valid ones, but there are a few that are caused by edits and cheats specifically. Being honest there makes our life easier and the chances that we may be able to help you are higher. ;)

A vanilla bird's eye view would be cool. Maybe a tameable "Screenshot-Bird" with the Birds-Update?

Racimiir could unlock f.e. a european swallow to switch to.
Or even better: An african swallow...
heard they can lift more...

You can also use a third party tool (called unreal engine unlocker) that comes with a build in camera mode. Same as above you may shall not create new save files to play on further, with the enabled tool, or when you used the pause mode, console, etc..

Thanks for sharing. Any chance you could explain how that works? Cant even install it as cant open the CT file (Im asked which app I want to use to open it but there is no app to do it). I'm old gamer but very new to cheats.

Its a table for the Application "Cheat engine"
Thats a Software that allows to edit the Active Gamecode in the RAM.
In this case its simple
* Download and install Cheat engine
* Download table
* Start Game
* Start Cheat engine by doubleclick the table (what will load the table)
* Choose the game task in Cheat engine (Button is at the top left)
* Activate the both checkboxes, look for the fly command (its behind the second checkbox)

Make a Backup of your savegame before you do that, Cheat engine is EXTREME mighty
so you can screw your game very easy if you do stuff you have no idea about
As long as you only use that fly mode all should be fine

Maybe not the most realistic one, but still a nice feature, imo. As long as the bird has to stay in a small radius over Racimir, so it can't be used for long-range-scouting ... why not !? :-)

What long range scouting ?
I didnt play for a month and can tell you exactly what you find anywhere on the map
