Perfect age to get an heir?
Hi guys, I am playing the game currently on 5 Days per Season and I am in year 2 just now. What should be the age of Racimir to start the quest for getting an heir? Or when would be the perfect time to do this quest? As I am only in year 2 I guess it's not that important yet? Unless it is possible to get 2 heirs eventually?

Don't wait after 42. After 60 your chance to die from old age is higher and your son must be 18 to take over.

Thank you! But what would you suggest is the perfect age to start the heir story?

As I have to pre-plan to get the wife out of her work for a while and get someone with similar skills. She has lots of skills on 3 which is one of the better ones I could find!

As you are playing 5 day seasons, I'd advise having your heir asap, as it is going to take you longer to get to his 18th birthday. Try and recruit someone who has the same skill level as your wife who can take over whilst your Mrs is on maternity leave. Or just do her job for her until she returns. She will only have one child, so once she's back she won't be absent again. Just my thoughts, perhaps others may disagree.

My Racimir is 19 now and his wife is pregnant. I just started out my village with only 2 other people in it. I guess it depends on what you like the most. I'm going for a calm little village and a family first.

Day 1

As soon as you find a woman that looks better as the cows, start romancing her.

I have always gone for it within 2 years of securing a wife. You want some other NPC offspring within a year or 2 of your heir's age to guarantee an ongoing village, I think.

Ok, thank you so much guys! Since I am now in the second year, I guess I will ask her to have a baby! Then I should be fine, just got my village running nicely, probably could be better. But I'm still working out how everything works nicely together so I don't have to jump between all the different buildings and have to constantly change values for production. If I want someone for the well for example, he needs buckets to fill. But I can't figure out what the logs, sprigs etc. should be set to, because I also need the logs for building new stuff and repairing. It's such a balancing act. Unless I haven't truly figured it all out.

But yeah, I will get the baby done in year two and then continue from there.

you can manage buildings from your normal inventory if you go to management its critical if you have a second city like myself near a mine to get ore.

I get it done as soon as possible. Mostly I get a wife before I am 20

You can marry in any time, even in the first year. Your heir would be born only when you come to wife with offer to get a baby. And he would inherit stats from both parents. So if you are interesting in strong heir, find a woman with good stats, make her evolve in all areas and only then do a babe. But better not wait till 40, because you have to be alive 18 next years if going to leave all to your son.

you cant have 2 kids but you can be a grandfather.

Is the main character still unable to have a second child? For example, a daughter, and marry her off. It's a pity if you can't have two children... Can there be two grandchildren? Is it possible to resettle a son in a separate house and add a girl to him, and only after the birth of 2 grandsons give him the reins of government?

I used to get my villagers and myself married asap, too. But I think this was all wrong. My first set of kids is 18+ now, and I'm going to get them married at 30-35. Meanwhile, I let them work in different professions until they reach lvl. 10. So, they'll have Super-Babies, and there should still be enough time to get two of them and raise them to 18+
