NPC Villages Late Risers?
It seems that every time I enter an NPC village/town, I have to wait for them to walk from their homes to their stations, regardless of the time of day.
I have a fairly well built PC and I believe that it will handle the background calculations, is there a setting that I can change to have the indolent NPCs in other villages remain active during business hours?

I have noticed this as well. I don't know for sure but pre-release I'm pretty sure the NPC villagers were at their work stations when you visited through the day. It definitely isn't NPC behavior that has always been present in the game whic suggests to me that it was introduced at or around release. I assume it has something to do with optimization but it is a bit annoying.

AFAIK there isn't a setting you can adjust.

They only animate for your benefit - you shouldn't be such a dirty stop-out, coming back home at all hours having been out all night !

In the early game, I would rise in the morning with what for sale items had been made the day before and run to the nearest village, only to have to wait for the Traders to leisurely stroll to their posts. I then tried going later in the day and they assumed the same lassitude.
Nothing to do with coming home at all hours of the night from extended peccadillos...

As far as I know (and I might be wrong), the NPCs have always started to move when the character came close. Since the very beginning of EA. Only the field workers go to work independently, even if the character is out of town, as they are the only one whose work is linked to their physical presence.
