What i need to prepare when i want to invite my first villager?

I built new small houses, both material and food storage (including firewood and food). How can i prepare water for my villager? Should i built a well and buckets and hire a villager to work for well?
Besides, Does all kinds of campfire will disappear automatically when the season change? Because i want to built a small zone where having a campfire with benches for my villager

P.S my village is near the coastline of sea

If you want that they survive without you ...

Water well and empty bukets in that storage chest
Woodcutting and axes in that storage chest
Hunting and knifes in that storage chest, also salt, if you want to prepare salt meat
kitchen for meat (roasted meat from hunting hut)
food storage
item storage
2 houses (one for you) and 1 for the 4 workers

But you could take over any of that work and store things in advance
I do the cooking in the house at the moment as I don't have the kitchen jet ...

and don't forget to set the proper TASKS in the buildings and who should do it

and store some water, burning wood and cooked meat (food storage) in the storage huts

you have to provide your villagers with a Home, Food, water, firewood and a job. Eventually if you have a resource and food storage they will get the food, water and firewood directly from those buildings. To find out what jobs they prefer prior to inviting them to your village, talk to the potential villager(small > ask about skills> ask what gives them a hard time) this will tell you what jobs they would be best suited for and their happiness would decrease at a slower rate or not at all if they are doing a job they enjoy.

Thanks for sharing tips for playing this game. However, I know i need to prepare water and others for my villager and that why i ask how to prepare water for them (main point of the thread). So i need to build a well and a empty bucket (put it inside the chests of villagers' houses ?) and then they will get water by themselves ? Or i need to prepare buckets of water inside the food storage in order to prepare enough water?

Thanks for sharing tips for playing this game. So i need to build a well and craft some empty buckets and put them inside the chests of the well ?) and then they will get water by themselves ? Or i need to prepare buckets of water inside the food storage in order to prepare enough water?

EMPTY BUKETS in the well chest and a worker, with the task to fill them ... he will transport them filled into the food storage ... I don't know, if he will take the empty one back to the well, but think so !
Have to see later in my game, as I only have one worker atm and stored 10 filled bukets in the food storage :-)

Lol....yes . Each house only can be occupied by a male and a female (whose age are near and not older or younger than 10 years old ).

The game's world = real world , life is hard . lol

Each house houses one man and one woman. The additional bed or beds are for children. That's the current game design. There's been many complaints about it and many suggestions to change this game design, but so far that's how it is. I for one don't have any issue with it, but that's me.

In the beginning you do not need a well and a worker. Just craft or buy a few buckets or waterskins, fill them in the river and place them in the food storage.

If you can build a well, you can either fill your buckets or waterskins at the well yourself or you can assign a worker to the well and set the production. Make sure to have enough buckets :)

you can also put he bucket of water filled from a river in the villagers house chest with no need for food storage or well first. same as fire wood. its possible but not practical for long but when you do get your well and food store its still better to fill buckets yourself and pop them in the store till you have a larger village in my experience.
