PvE?

Where is the combat in this game? This being a supposed RPG, I expect to develop full combat skills for the purpose of slaying things. But the description for this game, or any information I can quickly find about it, never really talks about combat or what the challenge is beyond crafting and survival... As someone who has never heard of this game before, it seems like there is no point of playing this. Why would I want to develop skills just to survive? I want to kill things. I want to survive so I can kill things... This game seems very limited. Can anyone actually describe the gameplay and the overall purpose of playing, since this information is missing from the store page for some reason.

Dangerous wild animals and bandits will attack you, can be hunted and killed. In general, however, combat is not the main focus of this game. I'm afraid that if a game about killing things is the kind of game that you are looking for right now, this one won't make you happy. It's for the more relaxed, creative and peaceful gaming needs.

I love the game because of the lack of fighting. It might be more challenging if you had to actually learn skills and teach them to offspring. Maybe you could get elected as Castilian . other than that the whole point of this is, as I see it, is to find the games best use for you rather than the games telling you what that is?

Yes thank you for the replies, but what is the end game like? I'm genuinely curious as I'm not only here to give criticism. No idea what the ultimate purpose is. To build a town? I'm curious about the actual goal of playing and the coolest or best achievements one can make.

The ultimate purpose is the same as in any other city-builders and sandbox management games — enjoying the process of building and management, not the destination. Key-word is sandbox.

For Hardcore-Mode, craft some wooden spears and hunt a bear.

Or you can limit your weapon to only a knife.

Most times the bandits have set up camp away from roads, sometimes you do find a bandit camp close enough to a road to see them without going off trail. They are most visible at night from the glow of their campfire.

Perhaps Kingdom Come Deliverance is more what you are looking for.
MD is basically a first-person-city-building simulation, yet although combat is there, its not the main focus.

Simply play a game where you can kill whatever all the time. It´s not like there aren´t any.

People who don´t like PVP pewpewpew/kill kill kill games don´t go to the forums of these games and ask why there is only pewpewpew and kill kill kill in these games and how it doesn´t make any sense to play them because of that. They simply ignore these games and play what they like and what fits their game play style.

Anything else is simply wasted time and energy and makes no sense at all.
