Hanging Lantern

Just purchased the scheme for the hanging lantern, but I cannot figure out how to build/place them. I've done the shelves and racks with the building hammer, and the pots with flowers, but the lantern, don't see it anywhere...

I found out that they only work with the tier 2 and tier 3 houses, no lights for the simple houses.

You can put lanterns and other stuff on the ceiling. On the wooden beam near doors.

Equip a hammer and target the ceiling. You will see "E" for interaction with the ceiling. Several hooks appear. Each hook is for one ceiling spot, you need to figure out which one is the one where you want to have the lantern. Hitting Q won't do anything here.

kudos for the decor ? do the NPCs decorate their own houses(yet?)? or do we do it?
I am glad some else thought of "privacy" by coming up with the shutters and curtains I was going around putting up palisades and log walls this is better by far. Enjoying this very much.

Still too early in my game to worry about decorations. Will I be able to remove/move the items around later, to a different house even if I want?

Every house has its own decorations, it cannot be moved to another house.
You can remove or change previously set decorations.
