More chickens than allowed in Henhouse ???
I currently have 1 rooster, 3 hens & 6 chicks in the Henhouse, being the maximum allowed. What happens if they continue to produce chicks when the Henhouse is at a maximum, or do they stop breeding ???
I want to breed chickens for eggs and sell mature roosters so I need a few spaces for them.
How can I manage this please ?

Based on my experience with other animals, they stop producing when the limit is reached. I sell older ones to make room for newer ones.

Thank you invivo4u. I am trying to get a good qty of eggs. I have it set to 100% but only get a couple of eggs. Also I would like the chicks to grow up to get better prices but that then limits egg production as most chicks are roosters. Bit of a catch-22 I think. ?

The animals self limit to the size of the encloser. Your best bet for eggs are geese, I have two enclosers of geese and regularly produce 200 eggs. I have never had that kind of production from chickens.

Oh thank you Corvuscroft. I will do that. Racimir will be so happy that he can have his scrambled eggs for breakfast. He gets so cranky when he's hungry. :steamhappy:

I agree about geese ... I built a henhouse just to have one ...

Geese produce more eggs (and feathers) with the same amount of food need. And keep in mind, the animal childs don´t produce anything (anymore, changed since the early access). And the skill level of your breeder makes a hughe different (simple multiplier of base production).
You can build addition sheds and move the childs. So you can have a "breed" house with more rooster (worker and food aren´t needed to breed), and the female only sheds with workers, to get maximize it. Every female animal have a 15% per male to breed at season change. A shed with 5 rooster and 2 chicks have 2x 75% to get youngs, if I know it correct, a single chicken can rarely get up to 3 breeds.
