Feathers and fur sold in bulk are ok cash. Feathers at least are light to transport.
Simple shoes made in the sewing hut for 8 leather sell for a decent price and are quick to make. If you don’t have a sewing hut then the simple bags you can hand make for 3 leather sell for about the same as stone knifes.
Excess seed especially flax seed is fast money

Build a workshop and make small wicker baskets.

stone knifes: for little cash
flax: for the big money

Build a resource storage near a mine. Empty it for copper and make copper knives. That should give you 2000 alone with 3 in bartering. That's 8000 a year pr mine. Then there's the salt and tin. Have your hunter farm leather/meat and have your sewing hut make simple shoes.

Once you can plant flax your money concerns are virtually over. They really need to take a look at balancing that crop a bit.

Flax is your friend. Not only do you get a lot of seeds to sell, you can convert it into linen thread and sew it into clothing that sells for a fair amount. Get yourself a couple of max size fields going and money will never be an issue again.

That really depends at what point of the game you are, for example:
At the very beginning, stone knives are a good source of income. They require few materials, that just needed to be picked up, plus they don't need any building to be crafted. If you're travelling from village to village, just pick up any sticks and stones you see along the way, stop for a while to craft knives, sell them, repeat in the next village.
If you have a workshop, small wicker baskets are a good choice (but not the medium and big ones, they have a worse material cost to selling price ratio). If you have villagers and or a wife, you can already automise the production, and you only have to gather the sticks.
For 5600, you'll have to gather a lot of sticks and stones though...

um what is the 5600 for exactly

if your early game just forget about it

if you mid to late game flax seeds will net you a decent amount of money and the sewing hut has some items that take just leather and fur thats basically free money from you hunters

pretty much any seed that doesn't back into your farm

I try to avoid doing anything with stone or sticks because I use those in supplying my village. so far my village can supply itself of all its needs (or it will once my crafters go back to work)

you can also get some damn nice loot fromt eh scarecrows during the event and you can also get some damn nice loot from the bandits and tipped over carts

Nevermind about that, the scarecrows gave me a lot of money from looting and selling the items in them. P.S The money was for pigs and some animal feed to grow my flax crops

I know this is years old now and I have spent a few days looking over various answers and started to wonder if anyone here ever played games like Skyrim. This is a similar game in the fact that you can also make crazy quick money early or late game simply stealing all you can from one town and then selling in another and this can be repeated daily. It is a simple mindless way to make a decent income and only requires the walking around to each town. The easiest way I saw to achieve my method is setting up shop north near the three towns right next to each other (Tutki, Branica, and Baranica). Rob one, sell in the other once you get to the last setup campfire and rest or loot some odds and ends around the towns while waiting and sell what you gather for some extra coin.

really depends on your situation, but extremely early hunting, get a bow and a hunting hut make stone arrows. you can also craft and sell stone arrow,s it's quit a lot money you get for them, hunting adds money as well, hunt deer and boar make little bags from the leather that sells for extra 25
