If you have a flourishing agriculture then you won't have too much manure
Couldn't you have one of your barn worker turning it into fertilizer?
It makes no sense (for new players), so is confusing. And it feels like you are wasting time when trying to get thru the early game having to leave a bustling village to wander into the wilderness to find water....
I suggested they implement the possible building of a MILL POND
Maybe a Royal Quest? Gather XYZ amount of resources, kill ABC number of rats, talk to everybody on the planet, and then you earn the plans for building a MILL POND and GRISTMILL plans.
The DEVS could plan ahead, certain areas set to become water covered, and you can build the MILL.
And making it into a quest is the opposite of helping new players. Unless it's now the first quest ? Why introduce being able to drink in a village after players have already learned to work around it in their game?
I support the idea of a well/fountain in the city center completely, if only for the ascetics of the idea. A central point where people gather, maybe it should be part of city planning.
The city square, with improvements that get unlocked on the science tree... Start with the well, maybe a bell-tower, a gazebo, perhaps even market stalls. All unlocked and all adding the the villager's happiness rating>
I totally agree!
I do like the idea of landmarks and monuments. Notable structures.
I would love to see the option to buy a larger structure like a fort, keep, manor or even caste (eventually).
Ah gotcha. I think I misunderstood. I am looking for a static 'Drinking barrel/well' in the permanent villages. What do the villagers drink?
I've no problem with more buildable stuff in our personal village as a separate idea.
Yeah - I had a thought about making it an early quest to teach new players where they are at (if implemented). Fetch a barrel form a vendor, place it in assigned place by campfire and fill with water to complete. and bang - water barrels in every village now.
It's not a deal breaker. All the Villages have a water source close enough to not need a waterskin. It simply pulls you out of the immersion of the game to have to stop what you are doing and LEAVE a village to find water.....
Why make me spend 5 minutes running to drink water when I'm in a bustling village???
To this day the well issue hasn't been fixed.
You CANNOT drink from already placed wells in towns.
You basically can't use any of the furniture or equipment in towns (aside from the specific player-enabled items in the starting town on the Oxbow map). So it's internally consistent that you can't drink from their wells.
