Is no sleeping through nightime possible?
One day I was working hard and when I wanted to lay in bed, I have noticed that sun is rising. People were awake and new day has began. Racimir managed to pass the night without sleeping, with full power next day. But sometimes sleep is happening suddenly in the middle of the forest. Next day Racimir appears in house.

It's a bug or something deeper? When you can work without sleeping, and when you will be forced to sleep? I wonder, because most of the time I'm trying to maintain sleeping routine. Maybe I shouldn't.

So is there any practical cause of sleeping between normal days (not counting time passing)? At least wife should be angry :)

No its an exploitable mechanic.

It's both good and bad news. Good, because I can roam thorugh forests at night - and in 3 days per season, it's a value. Bad, because survival aspect of the game is spoiled. You're not vampire, humans have to sleep. You have to drink, eat, mate.

For me there should be more grafitication from sleeping - like quicker building structures or more stamina, with maximum boost being set.

Healing minor damage is a bonus if you sleep in a proper bed. Also consumption of firewood etc by all the villagers is tied to your waking hours.

That's a thing I didn't know. This about firewood.

I thinks that happens cuz they work on the Game in the Background.

I have also invincible walls sometimes and the workers sleep on workplace or on the ground of the houses etc.

Wakter & KingDerek are right though: The sleeping mechanic does have continuity issues contradicting other mechanics in the game (and is especially exploitable like KingDerek points out).

Currently, I can wait until the last day of the season to go mining in a cave. At dawn, I can mine hundreds upon hundreds of ores, dropping it all of at a "drop-point" next to a campfire I've made inside the cave every time I reach my weight limit. Then, at dusk, I can go back to that campfire, pick up every single "load" of ores I mined all day that day, go to sleep at the campfire, and wake up on the first day of the next season in my house back at my village. (Which is why my house is conveniently built right next door to me Resource Storage)

Additionally, let's consider another game out there that has similar farming, seasonal, and day/night cycle mechanics: Stardew Valley.
In this game, you have to get some sleep. You can't just farm and explore 24/7, otherwise your character suffers penalties. You move slower, you harvest resources much slower, among other penalties that I can't remember because I haven't played in few years. Suffice to say that you really feel the need to get your bum to bed at night, which causes players to "think" about time management. That being said, it doesn't do this in a way that makes the game "un-fun". It actually plays a large role in organically creating fun & rewarding moments for the player.

Now, I'm not saying the Dev's should "just copy Stardew Valley". Not at all. I'm just showing an example of how a mechanic was developed with a sense of, dare I say, "purpose" in mind; not just implemented into the game for the sake of living up to it's "genre" tags, all "willy-nilly" like.

I haven't been vocal about it yet, because out of all of the things missing from this game, I feel this issue is the least of MD's issues.

I pray to the mod-Gods that one day the Dev's & Epic will release a mod kit for this game similar to the 'Ark Mod Kit' so that us players can... "fill in the gaps".
The "post-launch" days are passing by quicker every day, and the "road-map" is... well... that's a whole other discussion.

Work 12h, sleep 12h. This game is a marathon. If you ever want to reach 2 generations further. Plus, less consumption of wood, water and food.

I like to think a certain amount of time passes between seasons. This explains the weather changing (snow for example), the crops growing, animals becoming adults, and our protagonist having toiled away on his own and wakes up in his bed.

After all, all that doesn't happen overnight.
