On the other hand, there's another group of players who complain about the difficulty of the game.
youre dreaming too high with KCD comparison, don't think youll ever get anything like it, but who knows what future development will bring.
As a reference point: bandits were never even intended to be in the game, this was a request by the community during EA. They're a pretty simple implementation though, and probably fell short of what most people wanted.
I wouldn't hold my breath for too long, but I think we will get some further development there, after certain other priorities are dealt with.
Stay tuned for the next roadmap update, we might get more info on that regard.
Thanks for the fast and insightful reply. I have had this game for a long time while it was in EA but I held off playing until they announced 1.0 and release. I really hope they go further with DLC to flesh out the game, I see so many opportunities to allow you to play in an amazing time period. To those saying it is too hard, I do not understand. It is meant to be, you start of with the clothes on your back and that is it but even there I am quickly building up a solid town and infrastructure and I love it.
Racemir is a peasant, not a lord. He would never have the right to collect taxes (except on the king's behalf, as castellan or something), and has no authority to build an army.
Personally, I would not want the game to go in that direction, not because it's "too hard", but because it's a type of gameplay I don't enjoy. I like both colony management sims and survival games for the planning / resource-gathering / production-line / personnel management aspects, and adding armies and invasions to that would just detract from the parts of the game I'm actually here to play.
I can respect that completely, I am the same way when say playing Subnautica and not wanting to do the story and just chill. A point of contention I would bring up however is that your skills do indeed have titles like Castellan within them (if even as a general name), you are not supposed to be Racemir forever as you build a dynasty with heir(s). That is also why I said he would need authority from the crown to field troops and maybe quest for the king could do this.
Optional DLC maybe? I have no delusions after some nice replies here that what I want will make it into the game and tbh that is perfectly ok with me. This is the game I bought, I still enjoy it, and it is the developers vision. That said I like sparking up ideas and I personally would love to see more depth to my Dynasty.
Those are between Unreal Engine 4 and your system, I'm afraid. Do you have a topic in the Tech Support sub forum already? While we cannot "fix" it on our end, we may be able to help with the troubleshooting.
There are a billion games out there about fighting and war and playing hero, not ever game needs to fall into that same tired trope. Tired of everything, especially first person, being about kill kill kill.
Happy gaming guys and gals and thanks for the replies.
