Inspector mode
I have searched inspector mode to see if anyone else feels the same as me, without sucess. So here goes:

I don't like that the "tracker" and "survival sense" skills use the same button (inspector mode).
I like to use the tracker inspector mode to track wounded animals but if i have both skills it's often so much clutter of herbs and things lighting up it's very hard to see the bloodstains.
I ended up "refunding" the survival sense skill, i would rather they used different buttons so i could choose what to look for.

I put in the wish list a filter wheel to select what we want; animals, plants, resources or food.

There is so much showing now, I'm inclined to agree with you. Maybe a toggle to switch between tracking and survival at will. That's what I would like.
P.S. yes, the filter wheel. nice.

I agree. What with sticks and stones plus the plants and animals , it's too much and too clustered.

As a contrary view, the colors are my trigger. Red for blood or dangerous animals, which has no corresponding item in the "survival" objects. The green for good animals could be changed, though, since green is also used for survival objects.

It's the same problem if you are trying to use special sights in a town or village. You are trying to find a specific NPC, and all you see is decoration objects drop clutter everywhere. It's become an eyesore or sore eye problem.

A predator behind berry bushes can not be seen. so in addition to the color. predator could also have a skull symbol above them.

Needs a filter by type. Hopefully they won't go the color route, as that is zero help to us colorblind people. I already have enough issues spotting blood.

The colorblind issue is real (my Dad is), so I acknowledge that fact. I have nothing against the ideas of filters or some other method for refinement of the search technique. If they're not overly burdensome, I'm sure I'll use them, too.

Since Raci is the predator / sherlock homes- medieval batman with x-ray vision, it should be up to him to choose what to highlight.

And yeah, no colourblind option (in general) is just sad. That shouldn't be missing nowadays even though I won't need it.
I would still prefer to have a hunting dog to track animals, and one thing I really like in RDR is the way to see plants, it's a kinda cloud of particles that represent the smell / perfume. For the sticks I don't see the point to highlight them, nether the berry bushes, and I know where to found stone so I never use it.

Seeing the stone is very helpful in clearing land for building. Those stones can be devilishly clever in hiding themselves.

I totally agree with you. I also have big troubles with total highlighting everything when I hunt. I want to be able to choose what to highlight. Sometimes I really want to go look for mushrooms, but they are almost same color as sticks and stones... My eyes hurt from trying to see anything.

I also don't like how fast we loose stamina from ''tracking'', especially when I actually track my mushrooms.

And I want bandits so be red as well as dangerous animals. Sometimes I see them too late, even using tracking. And I also want all that objects from crates and camps have some kind of writing on them to actually see everything there easily.

At the same time I don't want my stuff to be highlighted since I use a lot of stuff as decorations in my village.

Yes, some kind of filter would be good, and i really like the idea of a hunting dog to track animals.

This would be a pretty controversial thing. The inspector mode is useful to track stuff you've dropped, and switching it to game created items would mean everything lighting up on NPC villages. I for one would not want to lose the ability to track my dropped items as I'm sure most players wouldn't, even though i also use thousands of items as decoration around my village.
In this change you propose, projectiles shot by you (arrows/spears) would also not light up, and they were the main reason for the tracking mode to begin with.

The inspector mode tracks dropped items that will never disappear (except for arrows that now fade out), as opposed to items that can disappear on season/year change (like bandit camps inventory and broken carts) and can respawn. If you stopped tracking your own items you'll have a hard time whenever you wanna clean clutter if performance ever becomes an issue.

On another note on the "I wants" i'm still waiting for my LHC.

You know you don't actually need to clear sticks or stones to build over right?
The only stuff that stops you is:
1.Your other constructions/ game created constructions
2.Trees and stumps
3.Rock formations
4.water
5.ground level

Bushes, undergrowth, herbs, loose sticks and loose stones, will always get cleared when you place a foundation over
