Fish Meat

One of my villagers - a hunter, and a good one too, for what it is worth - gave me a quest saying he was starving (why??? - the food storage is full to overflowing), and he asked me to bring him some (ordinary) meat and one "fish meat". I don't have a fishing hut (quite honestly I don't see the point, even though I have the XP for one and my village is right on the water at the end of a lake), but I have a fishing spear from trying out fishing some time ago, I caught a perch and a roach, which were the only fish I saw, but he won't accept either. I tried roasting them but that didn't work either. I have read that this quest is bugged, but not in this way.

Is there such a thing as "fish meat"? I see there is a recipe for roasting it, but can it actually be obtained? Do I need to find a fishy monster in one of those isolated lakes in the mountains? You hear tales of such things...

You get fish meat from gutting the fish at the workbench in the fishing lodge

Think someone also said it can be bought in Jezerica, haven't checked that though, so I can't confirm.

All the fish meat quests are going on my nerves. I have to find a cook, a fisherman or go back to my village every time i get these kind of quests. Why cant I just gut the fish on the spot like with land animals and like I can in real life??? It's so unrealistic.

Not a solution, I know this, but there is not a kitchen or tavern or fisherman in all towns. Don't you agree that you should be able to gut the fish you catch without a hut? Have you ever been in the wild? Further on this town topic..........Why cant I use other towns workingstations? Maybe it should be locked until you build one yourself, but after that? You will need your own ones anyway to assign workers. It would just be more realistic and practical.

I could be wrong here, but I doubt a blacksmith or a cook or a carpenter would be very happy if you just barged in and started using their stuff. Just sayin'

Maybe ask permission? Put that reputation to good use. I've only helped them out like a million times, surely they can allow me to use their stuff.

Fish meat can be bought in bought in both cooking venders and Tavern venders. They are all over the place easy to get fish meat most NPC villages have Taverns and Cooking venders. I never tried it but the bench in the fishing and hunting lodge is the same so you might be able to gut a fish with the bench in the hunting lodge, your need a knife though.
