saddle bag not working

I posted a screenshot of my open saddlebag, on my horse, on my play button screen. It has the large saddlebag in it, but it still says the wt limit is 20. I tried all three of the saddlebag sizes and it stays 20. I tried loading 45kg of wt and the horse would not budge. So it clearly does not work. When I have the saddle bag in my inventory, or in the horse saddlebag, there is no equip button. I saw there is two buttons in the keybindings for additional abilities, that did not work. Am I doing this right? Is putting the saddlebag, in the horse bag, the way to equip it? If it is, my saddlebags don't work and have never worked, since I first made them.

Patch v0.3.1.0-Beta currently this issue has been fixed. You can equip them whichever way (from the inventory or the horse inventory). So this should be easier once the Beta live to Main branch.

For me, when I've use it, if it does not show as a red circle which by default to indicate it was equip. The horse weight will stay as 20kg. If from the inventory then switch to horse inventory then equip them (v0.3.0.4), it will then show the red circle, and the 20kg will goes up to whatever type of Horse Saddlebag it was equipped to.

Yes, that's when view from the Horse inventory (Patch v0.3.0.4), if view from Racimir Inventory then switch to the horse inventory, then the items can be equip.

This issue has been fixed in Beta branch Patch v0.3.1.0

Btw Cosmi, you need to select the items on the horse to be able to equip them, simply transferring the items will not auto equip it.

Thank you so much Goldrie. That video was easy to follow. I did it on my horse and it works. I was on the right track, just in the wrong window, when I was trying to equip it.

I have to say that system is convoluted. You have made too many menus to go through to equip the items. No wonder people are confused about it. "need to select the items on the horse to be able to equip them, simply transferring the items will not auto equip it."

The items should just auto equip when placed in the saddle bag unless there are items already equipped on the horse. Having to put the items in the horses bags then go to the players bags then go to another menu to the horses bags then click to equip is just WoW, that is way too much.

Would you do this in reality? You would put the horse shoes in the horses bags before putting them on? Or just put them on?

I'm not one of the developers, so I'm not the "you" who made those many menus. That said, while I wouldn't want an auto equip, I agree that it is too confusing with two different horse inventories.

I'm wondering if those that ask for wagons, are doing so because they have not figured out how to equip the saddle bags. I had remembered, that in the video introducing the horses, that there was a command key, as part of it. So I was trying to use the command key, on the window you get, on the horse. It never dawned on me, that it was the player window, that you use the command key on. Yeah, I would recommend either some instructions, or prompts, in game to lead the player in the right direction, on how to equip the saddlebag etc.

Maybe. I know that some also ask for wagons as an early means of transport, since it takes a while until you can unlock the stable and buy horses.

takes a while, 5 k points , i want my horse :), where is rdr 2 when u need a horse :)
any easier way to unlock the horse, or u just play and hope it gets unlock before u get to old to ride it
