I built two woodsheds. Total of 4 lumberjacks. I think its essential. It's also critical to keep a ready supply of iron axes in my resource storage. As long as I have plenty of axes and 4 lumberjacks, I have plenty of logs, sticks, planks and firewood. Running out of wood is an easy way to breed discontent.
Mind letting us in on the secret?
Yes 😌
It's an unsupported method so keep that in mind.

Unlocking the limits is not cheating. It's expanding the possibilities of this awesome game. I wouldn't need to unlock it I could achieve it within the game itself but I played hundreds of hours and achieved literally everything so I had to find new goals to achieve. Building more cities is not cheating at all. We don't have to add more money or resources or tech skills, items, etc by cheating... only to unlock the building limits which is not possible by default - therefore it's cheating. I won't get advantages by doing that but I'll have much more opportunities within the game when I don't have to limit myself. I'm paying taxes the same way, cutting woods, collecting resources, hunting, sewing, making wine, working on the fields with my people....the only difference is that I have to do these for 3 villages and I have to take care of 200+ people and almost as many animals.
Not looking to cheat friend. I just have a village I have put 185 hours into and want to expand the building limit without losing it all.
Don't you end up producing so much that you can't sell all of it (vendors run out of money)? I'm in year 11 and only have about 35 buildings out of my max of 88, and trying to get rid of all the stuff i produce is already becoming an issue.
I don't usually sell them because I have enough money so there is no reason to sell. I only sell when I'm buying seedlings and I had to build 5 resource storages to have enough space. I could sell but then I would have too much money which would make the value of money to be worthless because I'd have that many. Currently, I'm just enjoying the creation of new villages. Soon, I'll start building my 4. village and my horse ranch. The only problem is that horse reproduction is extremely slow. Usually, I have to wait 4-5 years for a new horse to be born 😟

But, if you don't sell things, don't you end up in a loop where you have to build more and more storage? I've got more cash then i know what to do with, but i sell stuff just to make space.
Sometimes I'm taking out the unnecessary stuff, like thousands of straws or wool, fertilizer, leather, etc, and placing them in a unique location inside one of my storages. But I also like to build and when I have a resource storage nearby then that's always a good thing because I can easily access anything from either of my villages.
I know this... I was asking why he's not using food wastes (and berries) rather than manure. With that many people he must have food waste to use... I use leftover cabbages particularly.. they create a lot of rot too.
Still... if you have pigs then manure is easier ... no wasting time picking.
